I’m incredibly optimistic about the future of home-service businesses. There’s massive demand, limited competition at a high level, and a huge opportunity for people who are willing to combine great work with great systems. The trades have been undervalued for too long, and I think that’s about to change.
With Davis Painting, I’ve proven that you can build a scalable, profitable, and respected business in a blue-collar industry. With Indy Brands, I’m working to help other operators do the same thing across plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and more. My vision is to raise the standard for what home-service companies look like: professional, reliable, and built to grow.
For young people considering their options, I want them to see the trades as a legitimate path to success. You don’t need a four-year degree or a pile of student debt to build wealth. You need a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the discipline to run your business the right way. If you have those things, the opportunities in this space are enormous.
I also think there’s a huge need for better training and mentorship in the trades. Too many talented people get stuck because they don’t have access to the knowledge and systems that could take them to the next level. That’s something I’m passionate about changing, whether through the content I share, the companies I build, or the partnerships I create.
The next decade is going to be exciting for anyone who takes the trades seriously. I’m glad to be part of it, and I’m excited to help others see what’s possible when you bring real business thinking to real-world work.
